The Position

The Compliance Officer Sandoz Netherlands will be responsible to enable compliant, ethical business conduct by driving the implementation of the Novartis Compliance Program, including all related policies and governance frameworks for Code of Conduct (CoC), Anti-Bribery (AB), Conflict of Interest (COI) etc. In this role, you will be solely responsible for the local compliance program of Sandoz in close cooperation with the Head Legal in The Netherlands. You will be a member of the Sandoz Leadership Team (SLT) for The Netherlands.

Your main responsibilities are:

  • Collaborate closely with business leadership (e.g., Country Head, Business Unit Heads) and other functions (e.g., Internal Audit, BPO, HR) to lead the compliance risk management process in a manner to best serve patients;
  • Support the local business-owned implementation of Global Compliance Policies and provide guidance on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs);
  • Ensure allegations of misconduct are reported in a timely manner.. If requested, conduct investigations of alleged misconduct and support implementation of corrective actions to prevent recurrence of misconduct;
  • Conduct communication, training, and monitoring activities to support awareness, detection and prevention goals;
  • Coordinate implementation of and drive compliance to HSE (health, safety and environment) related legislation and company policies.

    You will report functionally to the Compliance Officer Region WE in Germany and operationally to the Country Head in The Netherlands.

The Profile

  • University degree in law or business;
  • Fluent command of English and Dutch;
  • Minimum of 2 years compliance experience within in a highly regulated industry;
  • Proven ability to lead complex projects and collaborate within crossfunctional teams;
  • Approachable personality, solution driven attitude, ability to handle deadlines;
  • Strong presentation and training skills.
