The Position

The Legal Counsel's work consists primarily of the drafting and reviewing of agreements wide-ranging in nature. Such agreements cover aspects of lease, agency, licensee, PR & Marketing and IP Law and employment law issues. A review of all general conditions as required by departments and foreign offices are also part of the responsibility of Legal Counsel.Furthermore, the Legal Counsel shall provide advice on and assist with numerous ad hoc and ongoing matters such as trademark infringements, product liability, online store issues, agreement negotiations and terminations and is responsible for management of external counsel.You are willing to travel now and then.The legal counsel works together with and reports to the COO.

The Profile

• advanced/graduate diploma, Bachelor / Master of Laws Degree;
• at least 3 years of relevant experience, as an in-house lawyer or with a recognized law firm;
• Proven experience with general contract law; in-depth knowledge of lease and employment law is a plus.
• Native level Dutch and good command of English, both spoken and written;
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills;
• Flexibility and motivation to walk the "extra mile";
• Pragmatic team player.
