Upon completing his legal studies in 1985, Ruud Harinck (1957) began his career at a law firm in Calgary, Canada. Eighteen months later he joined the corporate law practice of De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek as a solicitor. He left the law firm practice to become corporate counsel at Transavia Airlines. After 5 years corporate exposure, his interest in the law firm practice revived and he became manager of the lawyers' team at the Rotterdam office of Ernst & Young, currently known as Holland van Gijzen. In this function Ruud introduced the concept "Lease a Lawyer". In March 1997 he started Voxius.
