Vopak's head office in Rotterdam houses the Executive Board and the corporate staff departments, amongst which Corporate Legal Affairs. The Corporate Legal Affairs department is headed by the General Counsel & Corporate Secretary and employs 3 experienced lawyers and a paralegal. Currently Vopak is interested to attract an experienced Company Lawyerl (3-4 years PQE).

The Position

• You will provide professional legal advice, support and guidance in areas of (international) commercial contracts, corporate law, IT law and international conflict law;
• Furthermore you will support and actively participate in the realization of business development activities, such as the entering into of new storage contracts, investment projects, acquisitions, divestments and joint ventures and you will take care of the proper structuring thereof to ensure minimal risk for Vopak;
• You will play an active role in directing and supervising external counsel in the Netherlands and abroad and therefore maintain and develop a legal network of company lawyers and outside counsel.

The Profile

• Dutch law degree;
• 3-4 years experience as an in-house lawyer or private practice lawyer;
• Experience in an international business to business environment;
• Excellent analytical, interpersonal and networking skills;
• Problem solving attitude and result driven;
• Prepared to travel occasionally;
• Fluency in English and Dutch.
