The Position

As Legal Counsel you are expected to provide a broad range of high-level professional legal services in an international setting that will enable De Lage Landen to achieve our business objectives and strategies. Working both in a local and international environment, you will support the company's international vendor finance business from a legal (including regulatory compliance) perspective, contribute to the execution and implementation of vendor agreements, advise on legal matters in general, including to risk committees and undertake a variety of other legal responsibilities. You will also assist in developing and implementing elements of policies, procedures, processes and tools for legal areas of competence, taking into account international or local regulations. In order to deliver the level of legal and compliance services we seek, you are able to operate and think within clearly defined international and/or local legal policies and standards and feel comfortable both working autonomously or within the setting of (transaction) teams. Your excellent communication skills allow you to interact well with others, provide support and, when necessary, use your powers of persuasion and reasoning skills to influence others.

The Profile

• minimum of 4 years of experience as a lawyer or in-house legal counsel
• drafting and reviewing skills; experience with international agreements, M & A and finance matters
• good knowledge of Dutch civil law and company law
• fluent in Dutch and English
