Based upon this strong fundament, Sabic is a key producer of olefins, polyolefins, engineering thermoplastics resins, films and sheets in Europe. The Legal Affairs department for the region Europe is responsible for the legal support to all of SABIC's activities in Europe and currently consists of eleven company lawyers, located in Sittard (Netherlands), Bergen op Zoom (Netherlands) and Wilton (Great Britain). The department is part of a global Legal Affairs organization which is structured on a regional basis with global functional legal support. On behalf of Sabic we would like to get in touch with highly motivated candidates for a legal counsel position in Bergen op Zoom.

The Position

You will be responsible for a broad variety of international oriented commercial legal work, mainly related to SABIC's engineering plastics business in Europe.Tasks:

• Actively advise business management in the decision making process indicating legal options and constraints;
• Draft, negotiate and implement various transactional documents, such as sales, procurement, development, secrecy, distributor and agency agreements;
• Contribute to and drive completion of discrete projects such as inter-company agreements, real estate and lease matters, corporate risk and compliance assessments.

The Profile

• An LL.M. degree with emphasis on commercial law;
• 3-6 years relevant experience as an in-house lawyer or private practice lawyer in an international setting (experience with international trade, export control, compliance and competition law is an asset);
• You are a socially balanced and strong personality with a keen business sense who is able to formulate clear and to-the-point, both verbally and in writing.
