Upon completing his legal studies in Groningen, The Netherlands, in the mid eighties, Ruud Harinck started his career at the law firm Bennett Jones in Calgary, Canada. Eighteen months later he joined the corporate law practice of the leading Dutch law firm De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek in Rotterdam as a solicitor. In the early nineties Ruud joined Transavia Airlines to become General Counsel. After 5 years he joined the Rotterdam office of the law firm associated with Ernst & Young, currently known as Holland van Gijzen, as team leader of its Rotterdam office. In this capacity he introduced the concept of "Lease a Lawyer" in the Netherlands. In March 1997 Ruud founded Voxius, soon to become market leader in legal recruitment and temporary placement of legal professionals in both private and in house positions.

January 1, 2013, Ruud withdrew from the day to day business at Voxius to start up Lynxius in Switzerland, introducing Lease a Lawyer in the international Swiss business and legal community.
